When The Boy Was Just a Boy

Wednesday 01/26/2005 2:28 AM

The first of many images to be scanned.

Family visiting. They leave tomorrow.

Went to a lecture today given by Josh R. Hallett. The topic was something like "Blogs, RSS and Wiki." It was pretty cool — I learned a few things.

I won a Barnes & Noble giftcard because I was the first to shout out that "What's the URL, Kenneth?" had to do with Dan Rather (I've always missed Mr. Cronkite myself). Anyway, I was supposed to have won a copy of The Cluetrain Manefesto, but when Josh stopped at Barnes & Noble, they didn't have it. So he picked up the giftcard instead.

Turns out the giftcard is redeemable on the Barnes & Noble web site as well as in a real store face-to-face like.

So being a good little winner and not spending my giftcard on some other tome of rich, vast information, I purchased a copy of the book online. But hey Josh! That giftcard was only for $15! So I had to pay some money to cover the shipping. This book better rock!

Is it gift card or giftcard? You already know my preference.
