Well, we've hit the hat trick plus one with Hurricane Dennis bearing down on our state a bit west of us:

I told Candy the only things missing were forest fires and earthquakes.

I'm not sure how much the brown background of the web page is gonna go all optical illusion on you and skew the color, but the image of the day is of the yellow sky outside our house during Hurricane Ivan last year.

Tom Waits "Real Gone"

Tom Waits is like that distant uncle who does cool stuff, but you don't know him very well and you don't spend as much time with him as you know you should. For reasons still not clear to me, I've been delaying going through his catalog for years, even though his music is a myriad of fascination. Real Gone is no different, with it's trashy half-breed of a 3AM juke joint vibe and a brilliantly paleolithic interpretation of an ageless dirty, electronic studio.
