A Handful of Syllables from a Time Yet to Come

Thursday 10/26/2006 9:15 AM

It's getting closer.

You know what I'm talking about: The Fountain.

November 22nd can not get here quick enough.

This month's issue of WIRED has an article about director Darren Aronofsky and his new flick I'm dying to see. I'd link to the article, but it won't be available online until next week.

There is another interesting article in that issue that is available right now:

It goes like this: Invite various authors and celebrities to write science fiction stories consisting of only six words. Hilarity (and intrigue) ensues.

Similar to the art of haiku, this is art that anyone can easily attempt, but even the finest examples linger in your memory for about the same amount of time as the light bulb burn across your eyes after you look away from the glare.

Of course, I can't pass up the chance to share my six word sci-fi masterpiece with you. So, here it goes:

DNA ambush from millenia ago: Revenge.

I have another no where near as good. For next time.

File Under: Movies; Writing; Writing Sample
Music: Cliff Martinez "Solaris Soundtrack"
