And On the Tenth Day... (Unmeaning Flattery)

Peter was well again.

Since I came back from the beach a week ago Monday I have been plagued by The Head Cold From Hell. I couldn't talk Tuesday. I couldn't think on Wednesday. Thursday I thought was getting better. Friday I thought I was getting better. Saturday I relapsed.

I'm still coughing up nasty stuff this morning, but I feel pretty good.

I have truly been in an altered state of consciousness through most of this (head congestion is not fun) and it is nice to see the world again through familiar eyes.

There is just so much to do now.

Gurdjieff & Vassilis Tsabropoulos "Chants, Hymns and Dances"

G. I. Gurdjieff was an early twentieth century mystic who came to Western Europe with secret knowledge he claimed to have acquired from an obscure group known as the Sarmoung Brotherhood. His philosophy might be best summed up with this quote: “Man lives his life in sleep, and in sleep he dies.” As part of his awakening process he instructed his students in a series of improvisatory movements or dances intended to “to alter or heighten consciousness.” This CD is music that he composed for his dances.
