Why Cats Paint

Wednesday 02/09/2005 12:22 AM

Over the last ten years (and partially thanks to my acquired feline allergy), I've become much more of a dog person than a cat person. That said, I still remember all the kitties of my life. A whole tract of my life revolved around my princess, Belldonna, and her story is recounted in the book.

To follow up on the theme started with my mention of the Dog Works book, here is another neat tome about — I kid you not — cats that paint.

Why Cats Paint: A Theory of Feline Aesthetics tells the stories of several different cats who like to interpret their view of the world by stroking their paint-dipped paws across paper, canvas, etc. Pretty incredible.

Also got some more feedback today on Unscattering. Seems the totals are in and I need to eliminate my sentence fragmenting. I have also tallied marks against my passive voice use. I won't eliminate it completely because I it does work beautifully in some places, but I will reduce it.

I'm not editing Unscattering any more right now. I know it needs improvements, but for the time being, I'm using everyone's advice to refine my style as I work on the other parts of the book. After a while, I shall return and streamline my 100-page story that all of you have donated your invaluable time in reading.

And if I haven't said it enough already, thank you for your time in reviewing my writing and giving me feedback.
