Crouch down and waddle your way amongst the overgrown debris, which is each year being absorbed a little more by the woods.

Once upon a time, there was a pool at The Asylum — I know because I've seen a photograph of it — but I've never found it or figured out where it used to be. Could this building be for the pool?

One more shot of the decrepit cinderblock wall stumps tomorrow.

Nine Inch Nails "With Teeth"

Live drumming adds a gritty subtext to Trent's vitriolic lieder. For my generation, when Trent is at his best, he is giving voice to a part of our psyche most of us didn't even know existed. In hearing the words chanted, murmured or screamed, self-awareness broadens and opportunities for change are created. No throw-away tracks here, but my favorite is easily "Getting Smaller": I think I'm losing my grip, but I can still make a fist. Beautiful.
