A better look at one of my concrete constructions in the middle of the abandoned, overgrown grounds at The Asylum. (2005) File Under: Asylum, The; Cemeteries; I Took This Photo! |
My favorite cat of all time is/was Belladonna, the stray kitten I claimed for my own when I was 14 years old. She would drink water and not milk, preferred food off the floor instead of from a dish, and she lay in the center of my bedroom floor defying our dog, Heart Attack, who was legally viscious (having bit two people within a six month period). He didn't know what to make of her and promptly left her alone there on out.
My princess was my constant companion well into my twenties and I loved her dearly. There is so much more to say about her, but now is not the time.
One of the stories in the book is called The Most Cruel Death of Belladonna, and it ends in this place we've been leading up to. But the end of that story is just the beginning of the tale of the concrete crosses in the middle of the abandoned and overgrown grounds at The Asylum.
More tomorrow.
