Welcome to X-Ray Week!

Sunday 01/08/2006 8:40 PM

Well, I don't think I have enough to go through Saturday, but we'll make it through most of the week.

Here is one of the x-rays of Candy's repaired spinal column. Of course, you can't see the cadaver bone, but the dogbone-shaped titanium plate stands out pretty well. This image is a little over-exposed, because you can't see the four little holes in each corner of the plate where the screws go. I might put up a better image of this sometime (don't hold your breath).

Regarding the plate... I know what you're thinking and, no, she doesn't have to worry about setting off metal detectors at the airport. At least that's what the doc says. Of course, we'll be more than a little cautious the next time we have to fly somewhere.

Tomorrow, the profile view of the same specimen, namely, my lovely wife's painfree neck. After that... on to the dogs.

Grandma comes this weekend! We are so excited. Hopefully she'll stay until my birthday this year.

File Under: Candy; Grandma; X-Ray
